  • Trumpets (Hector left at 9:10 for Peer Mediation training) and Trombone
    • Mouthpiece buzzing on page 6 rhythm.
    • Established C, D, and E fingerings and pitches (lines 1,2, and 4)
    • Played through line 7
  • Alto Saxophones (Elianna left at 9:10 for Peer Mediation training)
    • Reviewed line 1, 2, 4 in book; Thank you for your patience while others in the class catch-up
  • Percussion - (Paige and Tyra had instruments; Ray'Niece has instrument but forgot to bring it today)
    • worked to establish an acceptable bounce stroke in each hand then in alternating strokes.
      • Played lines 1,2, and 4 in book
      • Played line 7

What to do
  • Students need to have instruments
  • Learn lines 1,2, and 4
  • Apply concepts to line 5,6,7 to achieve
    • Correct pitches/fingerings
    • Establish consistent steady tempo
    • Start each note with a "Ha-Too" articulation
    • Begin to establish proper tone quality
    • Establish consistent proper posture
